Why a falcon.

The name Calkhan joins its founders, Calvelli and Khan. "Khan" is a title of sovereignty, and across the old empires the falcon was the bird of khans and kings, the emblem of those entrusted to rule.

It is also a precise picture of the work. A falcon ranges across vast territory, sees from a height what others cannot, identifies its quarry, and returns it to the hand of its keeper. That is how we source: quietly, widely, and on behalf of the principal alone. The single gold eye is its focus.

Riccardo Calvelli

Co-Founder

Riccardo brings capital-markets discipline to the desk. An ESCP Business School graduate with investment-banking experience at Citibank, he advises Green Eight Capital and is part of the Casamonti family office. He leads origination and execution across private markets, with a passion for technology, innovation and investment management.

Gibrael Khan

Co-Founder

Gibrael represents the Khan Family Office — a business family with four decades in construction, real-estate development and textiles across the Gulf, Africa and Pakistan, and property interests spanning London, Dubai, Europe, Africa and the Dominican Republic. He reads at UCL and brings experience across investment banking, wealth management, property management and equity research, anchoring the firm's real-estate and Gulf relationships.
